Je disais donc que je décide de camper à Laguna de los Tempanos, et ca, c'est vraiment la bonne décision! Petite mise en jambe avec les crampons pour le première fois depuis le début du voyage: ca fait plaisir! J'atteind pas le sommet du glacier pour cause de neige trop profonde pas loin du sommet... La descente est fun, sur les fesses, en glissant :-)

La montagne principale a de jolies formes un peu étrange, on dirait qu'elle contient des flemmes pétrifiées (j'ai pas vraiment de bonne photo pour illustrer ca...). J'aimerais bien en savoir plus niveau géologie, géophysique. Si les roches pouvaient parler, elles auraient surement des histoires passionantes à raconter. C'est dingues les formes qu'elle speuvent prendre!

Il fait un peu nuageux quand je me couche, et je me reveille le lendemain sous... 3cm de neige!!!! truc de dingue! et c'est l'été ici... Grand calme sur le lac, le paysage est magnifique! Je cuisine tranquillement mon petit déj et redescend dans la vallée pour commencer le trek du Paso de la Oveja. Le sentier dans la descente est dangereux, très boueux et raide. Je me louppe sur le passage d'un petit pont de bois sur lequel je glisse pour me retrouver pieds et casquette dans l'eau, torse écrasé sur le pont compressé par les 25kg de mon sac... j'aurais bien pu me casser une ou deux cotes sur ce coup-là, mais c'est pas bien grave. Petite pause, et c'est reparti avec le sourire et le beau temps :-)

So as I said, I decided to camp at Laguna de los Tempanos, and that ended up being a damn good decision!
Little glaciar hike for starters, so thta i can finally use my crampons for the first time after a month! Might as well use them if I carry them... I didn't reach the top of the glacier because higher up the snow started to be too soft and too deep so i couldn't move forward anymore. The way down was pretty fun, sliding on my ass most of the way :-)

The main mountain there has really beautiful and strange shapes (got no good picture to illustrate this, sorry.... It looks like flames have been petrified! I wish i knew more about geology or geophysics, or that stones could talk, i'm pretty sure they'd have cool stories to tell! Crazy shapes these rocks sometimes take!
It was mild and overcast when i went to bed, and the next day I actually wake up with 3cm of snow on my tent! Amazing! And we're in summer down here... That was at something like 550m altitude! Everything is calm, no wind, it feels really peaceful with this coat of snow! I cook for breakfast, pack my bag and go back down the valley to start the Paso de la Oveja trek. The trail going down is fairly steep and muddy. Despite all the care i took crossing one of the small wooden bridge i slip and find myself feet and cap in the water with my chest hitting the bridge. Compressed by the 25kg of my pack, i got pretty close to break a rib in the fall... Fortunately i got nothing broken, took a short break to catch my breath and continued downwards smiling in the sun :-)
