Bon alors, pour remettre les choses dans l'ordre: trek du Torres del Paine suivi du camp de refugiés à Puerto Natales (Chili). On a pas pu chopper le bus de la Croix Rouge pour El Calafate en Argentine le jour où on a débarqué à Puerto Natales, et le lendemain on nous annonce qu'il n'y aura pas de bus dans la journée. La situation ne semble pas s'améliorer coté négociations pour stopper la grève et comme la frontière n'est qu'à 25-30km on décide de faire ca à pied... Sur la route, ca se fait bien et on espère avoir un peu de chance en faisant du stop...
On fait 1km et déjà une bagnole veut bien nous emmener un bout plus loin (genre 2km...), puis une deuxieme nous emmène à la barricade qui bloque l'accès à Puerto Natales. 2km de plus de gagnés! :-) Après la barricade, on marche genre un ou deux kilomètres et là c'est les flics qui s'arretent... et nous emmènent 10km plus loin! Trop cool les gars! Ils nous auraient poussé encore un peu plus loin si ils avaient pas eu une alerte pour retourner à Puerto Natales!
On marche les dernières bornes jusqu'à la frontière chilienne, puis c'est le douanier qui nous embarque dans son pick-up pour les 5km jusqu'à la frontière argentine! Pas mal ma première expérience de stop! Douanes et terre promise, enfin!

De l'autre coté de la frontière, Rio Turbio, un bled vraiment paumé, sans logements ni campings... Tous les gars qui avaient reussi à franchire la frontière s'y retrouvent et ca fait un tres gros groupe au final. J'allais planter ma tente dans un champ vers minuit en attendant mon bus pour El Calafate le lendemain, quand j'entend que des bus spéciaux ont été organisés en dernière minute pour El Calafate, départ immédiat! C'est là que nos routes se séparent avec Joshua.
Bus des années 60, on se met confortable comme on peut et on essaye de dormire malgre la route cahotique non goudronnée. Arrivée à El Calafate à 5h du mat' et connection pour El Chalten (pour voir Monte Fitz Roy et Cerro Torre) dans la matinée! YES de retour sur le plan d'origine après une aventure assez... intéressante ;-)

So, just to put things in order again: i finished the Torres del Paine circuit, then came the whole refugee situation in Puerto Natales, Chile. There we did not catch any bus to El Calafate, Argentina, on that same evening we arrived and the next day the Red Cross announces no bus will run that day... The negotiations to stop the strike don't seem like they are gonna end soon, so since the border is only 25-30km away, we decide to cross it by foot/hitch hiking.

Agter 1 or 2km stops the first car! It takes us 2km further... Then came another one that took us to the barricade blocking Puerto Natales. We hike a few kilometers after the barricade and there stops the police... to pick us up and drive us 10km further!!! Really cool these guys! Unfortunately they got an alert in Puerto Natales and had to drive back, else they would have taken us even further! So we hike the last kilometers to the border. There the customs officer asks us to put our bags in his pick-up truck and then drives us to the argentinian border 5km further. Customs cleared, in the promised land, finally!!! :-)

On the other side of the border, Rio Turbio. A village with no accomodation nor camping place! As the evening goes by, more and more border crossers gather in this place. I was gonna set up my tent in a field around midnight, waiting for my bus the next day when i hear there are buses organised to El Calafate, departure NOW! I jump on the opportunity (which is a shabby bus from the 60's, but hey, it's a bus!). There we part ways with Joshua and I reach El Calafate at 5h in the morning after having poorly slept on the mainly dodgy gravel road. Connection to El Chalten (to see Monte Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre) on that same morning! Back on track at last after a quite interesting adventure! :-
